UPSC Mains Exam Preparation Strategy?
UPSC Main Exam preparation plays a major role in deciding the fate of a candidate. UPSC Civil Service Main Examination will be held in the month of October. Here in this article, we are showing some ways of preparing for UPSC main exam success.
UPSC Civil Services Main Examination
This exam consists of the following nine (9) question papers.
Paper 1: Essay (Total 250 marks)

Paper 3: Indian Language - Indian Language (250 marks total)
Paper 4: General Studies - GS Paper 1 (250 marks total)
Paper 5: General Studies - GS Paper 2 (total of 250 marks)

Paper 7: General Studies - GS Paper 4 (total of 250 marks)
Paper 8: Elective - Paper 1 (250 marks total)
Paper 9: Elective - Paper 2 (250 marks total)
Essay strategy
It is very easy to prepare this essay paper with proper strategies. If you can write your thoughts and understanding clearly and systematically, then you will definitely get credit for writing a good essay. A detailed study of subjects and regular answer practice is the key to acquiring this skill.

English paper and Indian language question paper

General Studies (Main Examination) Paper - 3
- Current development in the field of science and technology should be given attention. The use of newspapers, as well as some magazines like Science Reporter, will help the candidates to become familiar with this field.
- Economic Development: In this, along with the current affairs, the candidates should have complete knowledge of the basic concepts of economics. The Economic Survey, EPW, Economy Times editorials, and NCERT books will help in its study.
- Environment and Biodiversity: This part overlaps with or resembles parts of geography. The India Yearbook, the official website of the MoEF and books related to biodiversity, newspapers, planning and Kurukshetra, NIOS, IGNOU Material, etc. will help in the preparation.
- Security and Disaster Management: Newspapers and related articles on disaster management will help you in preparing this part. ARC Report, IDSA, and Wikipedia will be useful.
General Studies (Main Examination) Paper - 4
- Ethics, Integrity, and Aptitude: In order to answer this question paper, the candidate should have a basic understanding and understanding of ethics.
